The village of Juvigné (population 1400) is only a short stoll up the hill from Le Rachat.  The village proudly displays its claim to several awards in the "Small Villages" category of the European Gardens Contest.

Juvigné has a patisserie, small grocery store and deli, petrol station, hairdresser, pharmacy,  bars (a few actually) and a beautiful country-style restaurant, Le Relais des Voyageurs, all within walking distance.
